Google has recently updated Chrome to the new developer edition of Google Chrome version 18.0.1003.1 forWindows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame. Users can now Download Google Chrome 18. This new build didn’t introduce any new graphical updates or feature, however several minor issues have been fixed in this release, which contains the following updates:

- Fixed several crashes
- Eliminate drawing glitch on WebUI radio controls.
- Fixed regression with extension omnibox API where whitespace would get trimmed
- Fix page zoom for plug-in documents
- Fix race condition in extension service that causes extensions installed
- Folders in the wrench menu and application menu are greyed out
- Better error handling in audio wave out.
- Popups opened from a maximized window should now be unmaximized
- Hide panels in presence of full screen app for windows.
- Provide windows notification of thread termination.
- Abort in-flight load tasks if the DB has been closed.
More details about additional changes are available in the log of all revision.
Remember! this is not the stable version of Google Chrome. This is developer preview channel is where ideas get tested (and sometimes fail). The Dev channel can be very unstable at times, and new features usually require some manual configuration to be enabled. Still, simply using Dev channel releases is an easy (practically zero-effort) way for anyone to help improve Google Chrome.
